Slack Connect Zoom
The Zoom integration for Slack lets you start, join, and share Zoom meetings without ever leaving the Slack interface. One slash command launches a meeting, generates a link, and shares it in the channel — in under three seconds. Your team gets the link immediately and joins with one click.

How to Connect Zoom to Slack
- Click Apps in the left sidebar.
- Search for "Zoom" in the App Directory.
- Click "Add to Slack".
- Sign in with your Zoom account when prompted.
- Authorize the permissions Zoom requests.
- Zoom is now connected to your personal Slack account.
Each team member connects their own Zoom account. The app can be installed workspace-wide by an admin, but each person authorizes their individual Zoom credentials.
Starting a Zoom Meeting with a Slash Command
Once connected, open any Slack channel or DM and type:
/zoom
Slack immediately starts a meeting from your Zoom account and posts an invite card in the channel:

Any channel member can click the button to join instantly.
Scheduling a Zoom Meeting
Use the extended slash command to schedule a future meeting:
/zoom meeting [topic] EXAMPLE: /zoom meeting Q4 Budget Review → Zoom creates a scheduled meeting and posts the invite link in the channel with the topic included.
Receiving Zoom Notifications in Slack
After connecting Zoom, you receive Slack DMs from the Zoom bot for events like:
- A recorded meeting is ready for review (with a link).
- A scheduled meeting is starting soon.
- A cloud recording has been processed.

Joining a Zoom Meeting from a Slack Notification
When your Google Calendar integration sends a meeting reminder that includes a Zoom link, you click Join Zoom Meeting directly from the Slack notification. No copy-pasting, no hunting for the link in your email. The integration bridges your calendar, Slack, and Zoom into one seamless flow.
Zoom in Huddles vs Zoom via Slack Integration

Disconnecting Zoom
To remove Zoom, go to Apps → Zoom → Remove App. Your existing Zoom account and recordings are not affected — only the Slack-to-Zoom connection is removed. The /zoom slash command stops working until you reconnect.
