Slack Connect lets you communicate with people outside your organization — clients, partners, vendors, or freelancers — using Slack. Instead of emailing back and forth with people at other companies, you share a Slack channel with them. Both sides use their own Slack workspaces and see the same conversation in real time.

How Slack Connect Works

Slack Connect creates a bridge between two workspaces. A shared channel appears in both workspaces simultaneously. Members from both organizations post into the same thread. Each organization's workspace admins control who from their side can participate.

Security and Trust
