Settings let you change how your computer looks and works. You can adjust the volume, change the wallpaper, set the time, and much more — all from one place.
What Can You Change in Settings?

Change the background picture on your Desktop.
🔊Sound
Make the speaker louder or quieter.
🌐Wi-Fi
Connect to a wireless internet network.
🖥️Display
Change screen brightness and text size.
🕐Date & Time
Set the correct time and date.
🔒Password
Add or change your login password.

Blue toggle = ON | Grey toggle = OFF. Drag the slider to change volume.
How to Open Settings
Click the Start button → Settings (⚙️). You can also press Windows + I on the keyboard to open Settings instantly. The Control Panel is an older version of Settings that also works on most Windows computers.
💡 Never change settings you do not understand. Always ask an adult before changing network, password, or system settings.
Quick Exercise
Q1. Which keyboard shortcut opens Settings directly?
✅ Windows + I. This opens the Settings window immediately.
Q2. Where in Settings would you go to make the screen brighter?
✅ Go to Display Settings. There you will find a brightness slider.
