Parts of a Computer
A Computer Has Many Parts
Just like your body has eyes, hands, and a brain, a computer also has different parts. Each part has its own special job. All the parts work together to make the computer useful.

Input Parts and Output Parts
Computer parts belong to two groups. Input parts send information into the computer. Output parts bring information out to you.

The CPU Is the Brain
The CPU stands for Central Processing Unit. It sits inside the big box called the system unit. The CPU reads your instructions and carries out every action you ask for.
Example
Think of a kitchen. The stove, plates, and spoons are all parts of the kitchen. But the cook in the middle decides what to make and how. The CPU is the cook of the computer.
