Capital letters appear in four situations: at the start of every sentence, in all proper nouns (names of people, places, days, months, organisations), in titles, and for the standalone pronoun I. Missing any of these in a typing test counts as an error just like a wrong letter — so capital letter precision is non-negotiable.
The technique is always the same: hold the opposite hand's Shift key while pressing the letter. Right Shift for left-hand letters (A, S, D, F, G…), Left Shift for right-hand letters (H, J, K, L, P…). This balance keeps both hands working efficiently and prevents the awkward one-hand twist that slows beginners down.
