A chart turns numbers into a picture. Pictures help you understand data much faster than rows of numbers. Excel can build a chart from your data in just a few clicks.

How to Insert a Chart
- Select the data, including the headings
- Click the Insert tab
- Click Recommended Charts or pick a chart type directly
- Choose a chart style and click OK
Types of Charts

Parts of a Chart
- Title – Tells what the chart shows
- Axis – The lines at the bottom and side showing categories and values
- Legend – A key explaining what each colour means
