Images in Word
Adding images makes a document more interesting and clear. You can insert pictures from your computer or use Word's built-in image library. Images help explain ideas that words alone cannot show easily.

How to Insert a Picture
- Click the spot in your document where you want the image
- Click the Insert tab
- Click Pictures
- Select This Device to choose a photo from your computer
- Find the image file and click Insert
Resizing an Image
Click the image to select it. Small white squares called handles appear around the edges. Drag a corner handle to make the image bigger or smaller. Always drag from a corner to keep the shape correct.

Text Wrapping
Text wrapping decides how text flows around an image. Select the image, then click Layout Options (a small icon that appears beside the image). Choose:
- In Line with Text – Image sits between words like a letter
- Square – Text wraps in a square around the image
- Tight – Text wraps closely around the image shape
