Text in Paint
MS Paint has a Text tool that lets you type words directly onto your drawing. You can label parts of a picture, write a title, or add a speech bubble. The Text tool uses the letter A as its icon in the toolbar.

⚠️ Once you click outside the text box, the text becomes a permanent part of the image. You cannot edit it like a word processor. Use Ctrl + Z to undo if you make a mistake.
Choosing Font, Size and Colour
While the text box is active, a text toolbar appears at the top of the screen. You use it to change how your text looks before or while typing.

Example: Draw a diagram of the solar system in Paint. Use the Text tool to label each planet. Change the font size to 14 and colour to white so the labels are easy to read on a dark background.

Open MS Paint. Draw a simple tree using the Pencil or Brush. Then use the Text tool to write "My Tree" at the top in red colour, font size 16.
