Typing a Paragraph

You already know how to type single letters and words. In Class 2, you type a full paragraph — a group of sentences that talk about one idea. Typing a paragraph practises everything you have learnt: letters, spaces, punctuation and the Enter key.

Practice Paragraph to Type

Open Notepad and type this paragraph exactly, including the capital letters and full stops:

I like school. My favourite subject is Computer Science. We learn how to use a keyboard and mouse. I type carefully and check my work. Computers help us learn new things every day.

Example: Type slowly and look at the screen, not the keyboard. Your fingers rest on the home row (A S D F and J K L ;). Move only the finger you need for each key, then return it to the home row.
