Four key rules: No food, clean regularly, shut down properly, keep away from liquids

- Place the computer on a flat, stable surface
- Keep the computer area clean and dust-free
- Use a screen cleaner cloth for the monitor
- Shut down Windows properly before switching off
- Use a surge protector to protect from power spikes
- Keep the computer away from direct sunlight
- Allow air to circulate around the CPU box
โ DO NOT Do These Things
- Place food or drinks near the keyboard
- Block the fan vents of the CPU or laptop
- Press keys on the keyboard too hard
- Turn off the computer by pulling the power cord
- Touch the monitor screen with sharp objects
- Use a wet cloth on the keyboard or screen
- Move the desktop CPU while it is running
Proper Sitting Posture
Sit straight with your back against the chair. Your feet should rest flat on the floor. The monitor should be at eye level โ not too high or too low. Keep the keyboard and mouse at a comfortable height to avoid wrist strain.
How to Shut Down Windows Correctly
Always shut down Windows through the Start Menu โ never just switch off the power. Click Start โ Power โ Shut down. Wait for the screen to go blank before switching off the power strip. This protects your files and the operating system.
