BizTalk SSO Error- Could not Store Transport Type Data for Receive Location
Problem
The error message “Could not store transport type data for Receive Location ‘####’ to config store. Primary SSO Server ‘****’ failed. Could not contact the SSO server ‘****’. Check that SSO is configured and that the SSO service is running on that server. (Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM)” indicates that there is a problem with the SSO (Enterprise Single Sign-On) service.
Solution:
To resolve the error related to the Enterprise Single Sign-On (SSO) service, you can follow the steps mentioned below:
1. For your local PC, right-click on “This PC” or “My Computer” and select “Manage”. Then, navigate to “Computer Management” -> “System Tools” -> “Local Users and Groups” -> “Groups”. Here, add your username that is being used in BizTalk server administration, SSO administrators, and SSO affiliated administrators.
2. For the server, right-click on “This PC” or “My Computer” and select “Manage”. Then, navigate to “Server Manager” -> “Configuration” -> “Local Users and Groups”. Here, add your username that is being used in BizTalk server administration, SSO administrators, and SSO affiliated administrators.
Now press “Ctrl + R” on your PC and type “Services.msc“. Locate the Enterprise Single Sign-On Service, and restart it.
Note: Sometimes, you may encounter the same error if your system or server password has been changed, and the Enterprise Single Sign-On Service is running with the same user. In such a case, you need to update the password and restart the service. Additionally, if the Enterprise Single Sign-On Service is stopped, you may also encounter the same error. In this case, start the service and check if the issue is resolved.
